I donate 70 € per month to the German Pirate Party (Schleswig-Holstein chapter).

Other income

Capital earnings (interest on savings, PSD Bank Karlsruhe-Neustadt dividend) of less than 100 € per month

Equipment paid with public funds

MEPs receive a monthly expenditure allowance, the use of which Pirate MEPs will publish. So far no equipment for myself has been paid (as of September 2019).

I have also receive passes for free travel with German and Belgian railways. The European Parliament covers our travel expenses on MEP business.

Parliamentary assistance allowance

Members are entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred in employing and making use of the services of parliamentary assistants. We are yet in the procurement phase. Pirate MEPs mostly employ shared staff. The European Parliament publishes our accredited assistants.

I am a member of the German privacy NGO Working Group on Data Retention (Arbeitskreis Vorratsdatenspeicherung) as well as of Greenpeace, Mehr Demokratie e.V. and Reporter ohne Grenzen (RSF).
